After five years of Caboose's nonsense, Church's smart ass comments, and critical acclaim, the popular Halo-based machinima Red vs. Blue came to an end late last night. Last night's episode was the 100th and final one of the series. The Red Vs Blue machinima has been so widely successful that the guys at Rooster Teeth also have produced shows based off of The Sims (The Strangerhood), F.E.A.R. (P.A.N.I.C.S.), and Shadowrun (1-800-Magic). RvB's appeal to fans has been so great that Microsoft and Bungie have released unique content on their products. On the special Halo 3 edition of the Zune, Microsoft asked RT to make a special episode to introduce the listener to their brand new Zune. Also, people who shell out for the collector's and legendary edition of Halo 3 will also get special RvB content. And just recently Microsoft started offering episodes of Red vs. Blue for purchase on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Many fans, including myself, never wanted to see this hilarious series end but even Seinfeld had a series finale. So I bid the Red's and Blue's a fond farewell and thank Rooster Teeth for producing such a wildly entertaining show.
