With Madden NFL 08, NCAA Football 08, and All-Pro Football 2k8 all clocking in at 60 frames per second on the XBox 360 sports gamers are going to be drooling over all the subtle graphic animations and goodies. The PS3 versions, not so much. The PS3 editions are locked at just 30fps. For those of you not really understanding what that means for a game, the more FPS (frames per second) games are clocked at the better looking and smoother the animations are. An interesting development considering how hyped the PS3's hardware capabilities were. So this asks the question, does this affect what version of the game you would buy? Are the higher frames per second a major selling point for gamers or not? It is worth pointing out that EA has had more experience programming on the 360 than the PS3 but 2K is having the same issues with All-Pro Football 2K8 even though the game is being built from the ground up to be simultaneously released on both systems.
