Bomberman is arguably considered one of the greatest multiplayer games of all time so this news doesn't come as a surprise. I am shocked at how long it took for someone to bring it to Live however. Along with up to 8 players battling it out on Live, there will be a whole lot of customization you can do with matches and even your avatar. Much like the interface in Super Smash Bros. you will be able to choose what kind of power-ups will be included in your game and you will be able to change the rules/modes of the stage you pick. Customization to your avatar is done by collecting and combining costume balls you find during gameplay that leads to unlocking different outfits. Bomberman Live is under development by Backbone Entertainment in Canada and hopes to be completed just in time for the fireworks on July 4th. What better way of celebrating our independence than by blowing each other up?
